Donkey Meat

Once again, it's 6am and i've been up since 3:30am. It's nice to have some time before work to catch up on emails and such, but it'll be nice once I can get used to sleeping in. As for the rest of our time before we start work today, we have been pretty productive exploring the city.

Yesterday (Monday) we went to the city center where the Forbidden City is located. We walked around, got lost, ate donkey, checked out some of the Hutongs (alleys) including many crazy markets with meat and live bugs on sticks. We also visited Tian'anmen square and such.
We are beginning to gain our groundings a bit more in the city (now that we have a few more maps that will be of help). We start work today. We are looking forward to seeing how everything will be in the office and the projects each of us will be working on. Until then, take care.
